Funeral services celebrating the life of Rita Smith will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sibley, Louisiana. The family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday prior to the service. Rita was born March 31, 1947, in Ridgley, Tennessee and entered rest March 4, 2022, in Minden, Louisiana. She is survived by her son, Roger Smith (Tiffany) of Humble, Texas; daughters, Margarita Bratcher of Minden and Roseanna Hayes of Dubberly; sister, Ellie Marie Young of Sleepy Hollow, Illinois; grandchildren, Olivia Hayes, Jayde Burks, Natalyia Burks, and Fayth Burks; great-grandchildren, Aliyah Raby and Tadeja Jackson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
