A memorial service honoring the life of Richard A. Wallesverd will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2020, at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation with the family will be held at 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Inurnment will be held immediately following the service at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Spur, Bossier City. Officiating the service will be Brother Bob Moore.
Richard A. Wallesverd was born February 16, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas to Guerdon A. Wallesverd and Ruth V. Gamble and passed away peacefully Sunday, February 23, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He will always be remembered as "The big guy with a big heart"!
Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth V. Gamble, of Bossier City, LA; his dad, Cloy G. Gamble, of Minden, LA; birth father, Guerdon A. Wallesverd, of Tomahawk, WI; brother, Grady Wallesverd and grandparents, Elizabeth V. Antes, of San Antonio, TX, Wesley G. and Loyce G. Gamble, of Minden, LA, and Gustav and Alice Wallesverd, of Wisconsin.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Bunhom "Home" Wallesverd, of Shreveport, LA; step-mother, Shirley T. Gamble, of Minden, LA; sisters, Amy G. Cochran and husband, Carl, of Bossier City, LA, Cindy G. Harris and husband, Brian, of Bossier City, LA and Christine Spain, of Florida; brothers, Joe Gamble and wife, Angela, of Minden, LA, David Wallesverd, and Geoffrey Wallesverd; nieces Carrie Puffer and husband, Shawn, of Benton, LA, Heather Gamble of Shreveport, LA, Kristal Adams and husband, Daniel, of Sibley, LA; nephews, Joey Prudhomme and wife, Amanda, of West Monroe, LA, Raymond "Grant" Harris of Shreveport, LA and Aaron Caraway and wife, Megan, of Henderson, NV; extended family, Earl Barton and wife, Karen, Sue Wilson, Lesa Hamilton, Glenda Newby, Danny Branton and Jimmy Branton and wife, Bobbi and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom he adored.
