A graveside service celebrating the life of Richard “Bo” Steiner, 80, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Road, Bossier City, Louisiana. The service will be officiated by Greg Winget.
Richard “Bo” Steiner was born on September 8, 1945, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to William W. Steiner and Juanita Troquille Steiner. He passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Bo was a lifelong resident of the Shreveport area and a proud graduate of Fair Park High School, Class of 1963. Following graduation, he built a successful career in industrial supply sales within the plywood industry, dedicating many years of service to the profession before retiring from Willamette Valley Company. He was respected for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to those he served throughout his career.
For 47 years, he shared a devoted marriage with his beloved wife, Beverly Curtis Steiner. Together, they built a life centered on love, loyalty, and enduring partnership, creating countless memories with family and friends along the way.
Bo found great joy in the outdoors, particularly on the water. He was an avid fisherman who spent many happy days at Cross Lake, Toledo Bend Reservoir, Lake of the Pines, and the coastal waters of Hackberry, Louisiana. In retirement, he especially enjoyed spending time at Cypress Lake near his home. He also had a lifelong passion for automobiles and motorcycles, frequently attending car shows and embracing the freedom and adventure of the open road. Never one to stop learning, he later took up playing the drums, enjoying the challenge and satisfaction that came with mastering a new skill.
Those who knew Bo will remember his quiet strength, his independent spirit, his dedication to his family, and the genuine enjoyment he found in life’s simple pleasures. His legacy lives on in the memories he created and the lives he touched throughout his eighty years.
Bo was preceded in death by his parents, William W. Steiner and Juanita Troquille Steiner; his brother, William L. Steiner; and his stepdaughter, Sharon Burford.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Beverly Steiner of Benton, Louisiana; his son, Christopher Steiner of Dallas, Texas; and many extended family members and friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will remain a lasting source of comfort and love to all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ninna’s Road to Rescue, in Benton, LA, www.roadtorescuela.org.
