Richard Sanderson Bullock

A memorial service celebrating the life of Richard Sanderson Bullock age 77 of Vivian, LA will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA with James Festervand officiating. Interment will follow at the Stevens Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service.

Richard was born August 15, 1946 in London, England to his parents, Prentiss F. Bullock and Heather Yolanda Montford and passed away on January 7,2024 at his residence. He retired from ST&T in Vivian after 31 years of service and was lovingly called Grumpy Old Grandpa.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Emma F. Bullock; brother, Dr. C. Holt Bullock; step daughter, Wanda Harmon; great grandchild, Jacen McClain; step great grandchild, Madison Clark. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Caryl Thurmon and Greg King, Richard Sanderson Bullock, II, Heather Renee` Parker, Debra Rodriguez and husband, Pete, Keith Matchett and wife, Missy, Janie Miller and husband, Rodney, Dana Foster and Melody Blizzard. He is also survived by his brothers, Prentiss Jackson Bullock and Stephen Bullock and wife, Linda; sister, Glenna Bullock; 25 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, niece and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Sanderson Bullock, II, Christopher M Risher, Tony Humphrey, Jr, Keith Matchett, Pete Rodriguez and Rodney Miller.
