Richard "Ricky D" Allums

A funeral service celebrating the life of Richard “Ricky D” Allums, 44, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 13, 2023, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home Coushatta Chapel with Bro. Larry Sales officiating. Interment will follow in Social Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM prior to service time.    

Ricky D was born on November 20, 1978, in Coushatta, LA, to Richard L. and Charlene Allums and passed away February 10, 2023, in Coushatta, LA. He was an rig manager with Patterson Drilling. He will dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.  

Ricky D was preceded in death by grandparents, Barbara Gour, Leon and Betty Allums, and W. A. Bernard; daddy, Ricky L. Allums; brother, Brandon Allums and grandson, Grayson Allums. Left to cherish his memory are his grandparents, Robert D. Neal, Sr. and Elsie Barnard; mother, Charlene Bowers; father, Dubwayne Barnard and wife, Barbi; fiancée, Angie Bullock; sons, Mathew Allums and Britton Allums and wife, Destiney; daughter, Kari Norred and husband, Kane; sisters, Jessica Salter and husband, Brandon, Jennifer King and Bridget McKay; brothers, Chris Barnard and wife, Jordana and John McKay and wife, Stephanie;  grandchildren, Paisley Allums and Kade Norred; very special uncles and aunts, Richard and Patsy Poindexter and Jessie and Debbie Davis; and many nieces, nephews and friends.  

Honoring Ricky D as pallbearers will be Chris Barnard, Colby Bearden, Cory Davis, Kane Norred, Kevin Woodard, “Big” Rob Ebarb, Matt Allums and Britton Allums. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Richard Poindexter and Jessie Davis.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
