Richard Dawson Perry

Memorial services celebrating the life of Richard Dawson Perry will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Bro. Cecil Perry officiating. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Rose Neath prior to the service.

Richard was born December 4, 1951, in Jonesboro, Louisiana and met his Lord and Savior August 15, 2026, in Minden, Louisiana. Richard lived in Quitman, Louisiana, working at the Hodge Paper Mill and retiring after 37 years. He moved to Minden, Louisiana where he has resided for the last four years. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with family and travel.

He was preceded in death by his father, Irvin Perry and wife Fae, his mother, Geraldine Brown, and father-in-law, Max Robinson.

He is survived by his wife Jeanne Robinson Perry, children, JoAnna Gibson (Wayne Williams), Landon Perry (Jennifer Stephens), Courtney Acurio (Mike), Megan Freese (Roger), Paige Horne (Colby), grandchildren, Conner Gibson, Garrison and Audrey Perry, Dawson and Andrew Batts, Trevor, Travis (Kennedy), and Ava-Katherine Freese, and Piper Horne, great-granddaughter, Matilda Freese, and mother-in-law, Katherine Robinson.

The family extends special thanks to Dr. Dhawan (Manish), Kim Brunson and staff of Mercy Medical, Louisiana Home Health, Passages Hospice, and Rhonda, Kim, and Melba.
