Becky was born on August 29, 1938, to Harvey Lawson Pilkinton and Mamie Louise Johnson in Shreveport, Louisiana, and passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the age of 86.
Becky lived in Elm Grove, Louisiana, for much of her younger life. She was an excellent basketball player at Em Grove School, where she graduated in 1956. After attending Northwestern State University and Norton Business School, Becky began working for SWEPCO in System Planning. She retired from there after 35 years of dedicated service.
Becky loved her family, her pets, her job, and taking care of any family member needing her. Becky had a comical side, which leaves us all with many good memories and laughs. The good times, we shall cherish.
During the final three years of her life, she made her home at Chateau Memory Care at Montclair Assisted Living, where she was surrounded by an extraordinary circle of caregivers who became like family. She formed deep bonds with those who tended to her with unwavering kindness, patience, and dignity.
A heartfelt thank you to Francine, Ms. V., Linda, Kim, and the many others whose compassion made each day brighter. Your devoted care, gentle spirits, and loving presence brought her comfort and joy in ways words can scarcely capture. The family will remain forever grateful for the grace and tenderness you gave so generously.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law, Peter Lloyd, and great-nephew, Hunter Ray, and wife, Lexi Grace Wilkes. She is survived by sisters, Susan Lloyd and Lynda Buck, and husband, Charles; nieces, Kristi Stoll and husband, Allan, and Kim Wilkes and husband, Mike; nephew, John Buck, and wife, Stephanie; five great-nephews; five great-great-nephews; two great-great-nieces, along with numerous family members, friends, and her beloved pet dog, Baby.
