Funeral Services for Raymond Oliver Roy, 56, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, October 22, 2021, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2021. Interment will be held at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Spur, Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating will be Lawrence Pilkinton.
Raymond was born January 4, 1965, in Morgan City, Louisiana to Oliver and Jelena Roy. Raymond departed this world on Thursday, October 14, 2021.
Raymond worked for Wicker Construction Company as a big equipment mechanic for the past 27 years. He was an avid hunter. At his hunting camp he was known as "The King" because of his ability to get the biggest and most amount of deer every season. Raymond's other pastime loves were fishing and playing pool. He was known as the "go to guy" by his friends and neighbor's as he was always willing to help when called upon 24/7. His favorite saying was "Everyone Loves Raymond." Raymond was a loving husband and father.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kenneth Roy. Raymond is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lynne Simek Roy; son, Brandon Roy and wife, Tori; daughter, Jelena Roy Miller and husband, Jared; sister, Lydia Carroll; two grandsons, Michael and Noah and three grandbabies due soon.
Honoring Raymond as pallbearers will be Brandon Roy, Jared Miller, James Dodge, Sr., Preston Dodge, Darren Wiley, and Frank Lilley. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be James Dodge, Jr. and Sam Dodge.
