Raymond Pete Meshell

Funeral services for Raymond Pete Meshell, 73, will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial of the ashes will be laid to rest at Converse Cemetery in Converse, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Reverend Wayne Fontenot. Raymond was born December 24, 1947 in Zwolle, Louisiana to J.T. Meshell and Victoria Ezernack Meshell and passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Raymond was an avid outdoorsman. Hunting, fishing and riding ATV's were his favorite hobbies. He owned and operated Performance Transmission in Shreveport for over 30 years before retiring. His door was always open to friends and family to visit. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patsy Tanner Meshell; daughter, Barbie Meshell; and brother, Danny Meshell. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Raymond Meshell, Jr., Daniel Meshell and wife, Clarice Olson Meshell, Wayland Meshell and wife, Tammy Festervan Meshell; daughter, Bridgette Meshell and boyfriend, David; grandchildren, Mark, Dayna and husband, Edward, Ray and Cheyenne; great-grandchild, Noah; five brothers, David, Richard, Billy, Joseph and Lesley Meshell; sister, Marry Ann; five sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
