Funeral services for Raymond O. Parker, Sr. will be held Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Bro. Bruce Lee and Rev. Paul Pearson officiating. Interment will follow at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sibley, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Raymond was born September 21, 1937 in Grove, Louisiana and entered into rest December 27, 2018 in Minden, Louisiana. He was a deacon at Doyline Baptist Church and a charter member of the Sibley Volunteer Fire Department. Raymond was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Murlene J. Parker of Sibley, son Raymond O. Parker, Jr. and wife Susan of Minden, daughter Kim Parker Martin of Natchitoches, grandchildren, Abbey Martin and Kelli Pevy and great-grandchildren, Camden and Trinity Pevy.
Pallbearers will be Larry Merritt, Robert Smart, Wayne Booth, Glen Williams, Miller Martin, Jeff Hillidge, and Jerry Hillidge.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Harris, Dallas Garner, and David Carter.
Memorials may be made to donor's choice.
