Raymond Allen Farnsley

Funeral services celebrating the life of Raymond Allen Farnsley, age 87 will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Oil City, LA with full military honors. There will be a time of visitation on Sunday, March 10^th beginning at 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Farnsley was born December 17, 1931 in Florence, MS to Claude Ora Farnsley and Irene Rose Hitner Farnsley and passed away on March 5, 2019 at Willis Knighton Life Care Pierremont. He was retired from the United State Air Force.

Mr. Farnsley was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sue Farnsley; siblings, Arthur Emory Farnsley, Pearl Louise Albright, Carl H. Farnsley, Wilma M. Farnsley, Leola Mae Henderson, Frank Thomas Farnsley, Ruth Kracht, and Clyde Irwin Farnsley.

Those left to cherish his memories are his sons, James Ray Farnsley and wife, Marla of Flower Mound, TX, Charles Allen Farnsley and wife, Wendy of Wasilla, AK, John Edwin Farnsley and wife, Misty of Lubbock, TX; and daughter, Debbie Sue Farnsley of Mooringsport, LA. Mr. Farnsley is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashley Vanderbleek and husband, Joe, Melissa Farnsley, Josh Farnsley, Sara Farnsley and Carson Farnsley; great grandchildren, Joseph Vanderbleek, Hannah Vanderbleek and Madelyn Vanderbleek.

The family is especially thankful to Shenoah Jackson for the love and care that she gave to our father during these last several years. Her comfort and compassion were an enormous blessing to our father and our family.
