Raymond Earl Greer

A Memorial Service for Raymond “Ray” Earl Greer, 79, will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ray was born on April 13, 1943 to Earnest Greer and Lillie Keel Greer in Greenville, Mississippi and passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Ray was a graduate of Mississippi State University where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He retired from the Ford Motor Credit Company after 30 plus years of service. He enjoyed golfing, live music and dancing with his wife (even if it was only in the kitchen), visiting with and reminiscing with his fraternity brothers, being the life of the party and making people laugh wherever he was and spending time with his family and taking care of many dogs throughout his life.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 43 years, Sharon Grayson Greer; son, Rance Greer of Greenwood, Arkansas; daughter, Melissa D. Sloan of Shreveport, Louisiana; sister, Cindy Richard; and his beloved dog, Gracie.
