Randy Wayne Hoskins

A memorial service for Randall "Randy" Wayne Hoskins, 67, will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana at 3:00 p.m. A visitation will be held on Sunday prior to the memorial service from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Southside. Officiating the service will be Reverend Tom Brown. Randy was born on February 5, 1953 to Herman Dale Brummett and Herta Lillie Struckmeyer-Brummett in Enid, Oklahoma and passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Randy was a resident of Shreveport and served with the United States Air Force. Randy was known all over the Shreveport/Bossier City area from being in the paint and body business for well over 30 years as a young man. He belonged to the right lane of the streets, as he had a deep passion for going fast every chance he had. He was a current member of the Bayou Boyz Boat Club, and was known to live his life a quarter-mile at a time. He never met a stranger he couldn't turn into family. Randy was a devoted father and grandpa to his family and grandchildren. He had a laugh and smile that could light up your day and was loved by so many around him. In his free time, when he wasn't enjoying the city streets, he would relax out on the water and catch big bass or just simply fish with family and friends. He certainly had a deep connection and passion to help others with the many skills he had in the automotive industry. Randy had such a big heart and lived for helping others, and often asking nothing in return. He will continue to live on through his children, grandchildren and friends for years to come. Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Herman Dale and Herta Lillie Brummett, both of Shreveport, Louisiana; grandparents, Clovis Cleveland Brummett, and late wife, Agnes Lucille Bulger-Brummett and Fritz Struckmeyer and late wife, Otelia E. Franske-Struckmeyer. He is survived by his daughters, Nicole D. Hoskins-Moore and husband, DJ of Nederland, Texas, Tracy M. Daniel and husband, Derrick of Shreveport, Louisiana, Ashley L. Beverage and husband, Chad of Hayden, Alabama and step-daughter McKenzie D. Bell of Shreveport, Louisiana; sons, Joshua W. Etheridge of Lafayette, Louisiana, step-son, Christopher S. Etheridge of Shreveport, Louisiana; brothers, Ronnie L. Hoskins and wife, Sandra of Dallas, Texas; Gary Dale Brummett and wife, Kathy of Shreveport, Louisiana, Clovis "Paul" Brummett of Shreveport, Louisiana; sister, Ollie "Babs" Brummett Jordan of Bossier City, Louisiana; grandchildren, Lantz Fountain of Nederland, Texas, Cameron Matthew Etheridge-Mullings of Conroe, Texas and Jackson Daniel of Shreveport, Louisiana; nieces, Brandy Hoskins and Kaylee LaGars; nephews, William Dale Hoskins, Chad Hoskins and Jonathan Bayles. Randy also had numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to thank Willis-Knighton Pierremont for the excellent care given to Randy and the LOPA organization. They also want to thank the family and all of his great friends for their care and compassion during Randy's illness.
