Randa Durham, 79, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, in her Shreveport, Louisiana, home surrounded by her loving family. A passionate horticulturalist, she left this earth as she loved to see it, bursting with fresh blooms and sweet fragrances.
Randa may be best known for her days spent as an artisan baker delivering homemade sourdough products to the many people in the local community that loved her breads and desserts. Not only did she apply her business degree from LSU to her entrepreneurial pursuits, but also to her civic leadership in the community. She was a past President of the Northwest Louisiana Master Gardeners, past Vice President of the ArkLaTex Herb Society, Southern Hills Business Association member, and a community leader active in organizing neighborhood watch efforts with the other homeowners in her neighborhood. She was an active member of Summer Grove Baptist Church and was undoubtedly happy to have been called to her final rest on Easter Sunday.
Randa is survived by her two daughters: Tamara Durham-Dailey and husband, William of Goodspring, Tennessee; Debora Miller and her husband, Craig of Canton, Georgia; and her two grandchildren, Caleb and Connie Miller. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Durham; brother Donald Cave, father, Manuel Cave and mother, Mary (Crow) Cave Boone.
Randa was born in Coushatta, Louisiana, and will be interred at the Wallace Cemetery, Pelican, Louisiana, among other beloved members of her dearly departed family.
Services will be held at the Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana, on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Officiating the service will be Bro. Billy Crosby.
