Ralph Jordan

Funeral service honoring Mr. Ralph Ray Jordan will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia. Bro. Tom Harrison and Bro. Tex Pruitt will officiate the service. The burial will follow at Holder Cemetery, with Navy Honors. Visitation will be held on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.

Ralph was born on October 13, 1945, in Bienville Parish to Jessie and Cassie Alexander Jordan. He passed away on May 28, 2025, in Bossier City, with his loving family by his side. Ralph proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy as a barber aboard the USS Pawcatuck, completing six years of service. Following his time in the Navy, he continued his career as a barber in Shreveport and later returned to school to earn his cosmetology license. Ralph competed in local, regional, and national barbering competitions, earning multiple recognitions. Beyond his profession, Ralph had a passion for photography and, in his later years, found great joy in traveling to Navy reunions, where he reconnected with shipmates and sharing cherished memories. Ralph was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Cassie Jordan, and by his brothers, James Jordan, Charlie Jordan, and Troy Jordan.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife Elizabeth Culpepper Jordan, daughters Londa Croall and husband William and Jessica Mercon and husband Dennis, grandchildren; Jordan, Emily, Andrew, and Landon Croall, Cassie Bowie, Delaney Metzger, Brendan Mercon, and Madison Mercon, niece Medina Pruitt and husband Tex, nephew Donald Jordan and wife Cindi, and by numerous other nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

Honoring Ralph as pallbearers will be Billy Johnson, Donald Jordan, Dusty Jordan, John Duggins, Jordan Croall, Andrew Croall, and Landon Croall. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Lewis, John Deward Alexander, and Jimmie Brown.
