R C Green, Jr.

A graveside service for Robert Clarence "RC" Green, Jr., 87, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Woodard Cemetery in Taylor, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Tim Blake. RC was born on March 31, 1934 in Coushatta, Louisiana to Robert C. Green and Alpha Mae Adkins and passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 30, 2021 in Longview, Texas. RC joined the United States Air Force in 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1961. He joined the Shreveport Police Department in 1966, retiring as Lieutenant in 1992. He had a lifelong passion of fishing with family and friends. RC was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 45 years, Shirley Green; son, Gary Green; brother, Perry Green; three sisters, Dorothy Bogan, Willie Green and Sue Caudle and brother-in-law, Charles Blake. He is survived by his daughters, Kristi Allen and husband, Steve of Karnack, TX and Kelli Green and Kim of St. Petersburg, FL; son, Kyle Green and wife, Tracy of Keithville, LA; brother, Wiley Green and wife, Dorothy; sister, Alice Blake; grandchildren, Ryan, Courtney, Tyler and Westin; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Gunner, Claire and Seth and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He will be missed by all. Love you, daddy!
