Preston Wayne Bennett

A Memorial Service for Preston Wayne "Butch" Bennett, 78, will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Justin Haigler of The Simple Church. Butch was born on October 24, 1943 to AJ and Dorothy Norris Bennett in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021 in Bossier City, Louisiana. Butch was a resident of Bossier City and was a plumber by trade. He owned and worked in the family plumbing business. He enjoyed building homes and doing anything that had to do with the construction industry. He was a quiet, giving and kind man. He enjoyed being outdoors, watching sports, and racing. Butch had a passion for fast boats, and was happiest being on the lake with family and friends. Butch is preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his children, son, Keith Bennett; daughter, Karen Muscutt and husband, Scott; grandchildren, Jacob Brown, Jared Brown and Kason Muscutt; and ex-wife and mother of his children, Jeri Bennett Dupree; and three sisters, Ellen Hoffman, Donna Martin, and Judy Blake. Butch will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
