Preston Eugene Turney

A "Celebration of Life" Service for Preston Eugene Turney, 81, will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Preston was born on April 4, 1940, to Teddy and Isabel Turney in Shreveport, Louisiana and unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022, in Bossier City, Louisiana. Preston was a resident of Shreveport and worked as a welder for Frymaster before retiring. He graduated from Fair Park High School and served in the Air Force. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and building projects. He was a self-taught man full of knowledge. He never met a stranger and loved to tell stories. He was the life of the party with countless jokes to share. The room lit up when he walked in and was loved by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Carolyn Turney; Daughter, Lisa Johnson and husband, Randy; Son, Stephen Turney; grandchildren, James "Michael" Johnson, Sarah Lynn Marie Middleton and husband, Bobby, Kristin Turney and fiancé, Will ; great-grandchildren, Brylie Shea Middleton, Scarlett Rayn Johnson, Jessie Amberlyn Tori Johnson, Bobby David Middleton IV, and Marshall Alexander Middleton. He will be greatly missed by his family but in our hearts and loved forever.
