Peter Mitchell

Peter Mitchell, 70, of Parkersburg, West Virginia entered into eternal rest on July 18, 2022. Peter was formerly from Florien, Louisiana.

A visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. until time of service beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022 located at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Florien, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Bro. Logan Brock. Interment will be held at Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery in Florien, Louisiana.  

Peter was born on February 4, 1952 in Deridder, Louisiana to John Burt Mitchell, Jr. and Flarie Slaydon Mitchell.

Preceding Peter are his parents, John and Flarie Mitchell; and his brothers, Robert Mitchell, Gilbert Mitchell, Paul Mitchell, Gus Mitchell, Glen Mitchell, and Leo Mitchell. He is survived by his wife, Sheba Mitchell of Parkersburg, WV; and his sons, Mark Mitchell of Merryville, LA and Jabez James Mitchell of Parkersburg, WV. In addition, he leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other family members.

Honoring Peter as pallbearers will be Darrell Mitchell, Thane Mitchell, Mike Plumer, Mike Gunter, and Jason Miller.
