A graveside service for Pauline McMillan Duncan, 94, will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Chuck Clark.

Pauline was born on August 21, 1928 in Haslem, Texas to Jimmie and Connie Scales and passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Pauline was a resident of Shreveport and retired from the Louisiana Tourist Bureau. She was married twice and blessed with two wonderful husbands. She was married to the love of her life and father of her children, Henry Crandell McMillan for 28 years and Byron Duncan for 12 years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Pauline loved spending time with her family. She loved to bake and was famous for her teacake cookies. She was also a member of Sunset Acres Baptist Church.

Pauline is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; her daughter, Donna Lynn McMillan; son-in-law, Grady W. Cummings, Jr.; siblings, Jimmie Scales and wife, JoAnn, Doris Rusk, Connie Faye Slay and husband, Jo Allen; and brother-in-law, Bobby Mosley.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Paula Brazzel and husband, Kyle, and Linda Wynne and husband, John; grandchildren, Delena Parks and husband Randy, Crandell Cummings and wife, Julie, Troy Cummings and wife, Jo, Johnette Boudreaux and husband, Ronnie, Justin Wynne and wife, Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Samantha Singletary and husband, Brayden, Sydney Parks, Tyler Cummings, Crandell Cummings, Peyton Parks, Christiana Cummings, Macy Wynne, Milla Boudreaux, Hannah Wynne, Amelie Boudreaux, Trace Boudreaux, Julianne Wynne, and Justin T. Wynne; great-great-grandchildren, Flora Kenlee Cummings, Mazie Singletary, and Blakelyn Singletary; sister, Nannie Ruth Mosley of Nacogdoches, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family members as well as all her dear friends at Azalea Estates.

Honoring Pauline as pallbearers will be her great-grandsons, Crandell Cummings, Peyton Parks, Trace Boudreaux, and Justin T. Wynne.

The family would like to express special thanks to Azalea Estates of Shreveport and their staff for the wonderful care, compassion, and love given to our mother. Pauline dearly loved all of her friends at Azalea Estates and her special friend, Robert Ward.

Pauline will be terribly missed. Her family and friends will forever love and cherish her precious memory.
