Paula Gene Harris

Paula Gene Harris, 85, a resident of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026. She was born on October 19, 1940, to Genie Alice Thompson and Paul Clark Harris.

A sweet, gentle soul, Paula loved to smile. She was quick to compliment others and enjoyed sharing hugs immensely. Loving the Lord with all of her heart, Paula always tried to be a good example. She also loved her family tremendously. It was the small things life presented that gave her most joy.

Paula is preceded in death by her parents, Paul C. Harris and Genie A. Harris; brothers, Arthur James Harris (Lou Kimble Harris) and Joe Harris; sisters, Marilyn Montgomery (Jim Montgomery) and Yvonne Bonds; nephew, John Stephen Harris; niece, Lou Anne Harris Smitherman; great-nephew, Justin Smitherman; and great-niece, Maisy Rae Belgard.

Paula is survived by her niece, Susan Harris Belgard (John Belgard), and nephew, Patrick James Harris (Amelia Harris); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Paula will be laid next to her mother and father at Haughton Cemetery in Haughton, Louisiana. A private graveside will take place at a later date.
