Mr. Snead was born September 22, 1929, in Hall Summit, Louisiana, to Paul J. Snead, Sr. and Mattie Claire Womack Snead and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 1, 2016, in Coushatta, LA. Paul was a man of service and integrity. He later retired from Baker-Hughes. He became the town clerk for Hall Summit and continued as an accountant until his health declined. He was a member of Hall Summit Baptist Church and served as a deacon for 49 years, as well as a mason for 50 years. His love for the Lord was seen through his many years of service as a Sunday school teacher and his singing in the choir with his beautiful bass voice. He was fondly called Paul, Dad, Granddaddy, or Mr. Paul by his family and friends. His love of playing dominos and Rook was known by anyone that knew him. He married his high school sweetheart, Yvonne Weems, and they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in January. Paul was a loving husband, wonderful father, and grandfather, a true friend to many, and most importantly a servant of the Lord. Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Paula Snead; and sisters, Pauline Snead Rawls and Ozie Snead Skyes. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Yvonne Weems Snead of Hall Summit, LA; son, Jeffrey Snead and wife, Cindy of Hall Summit, LA; daughters, Sue Tucker of Hall Summit and Sharon Young and husband, Jimmy of Hall Summit, LA; grandchildren, Wesley Tucker and fiancee' Ashley Miers, Callie Tucker, Brodie Vines, Bo Young and wife, Linda, Shane Young and wife, Tammy, Kasey Giddens and husband, Heath, Blue Young and wife, Hollie, Lance Webb and wife, Nicole; great grandchildren, Jacob Carter, Jaxon Tucker, Makayla Gibson, Montana Layfield, Cardin Young, Hadley Young, Hunter Young, Landon Webb and Micah Webb, all whom he dearly loved; and numerous nieces and nephews.
