Paul C. Little, Sr. passed away peacefully in his sleep September 28th, 2016 in Elm Grove, Louisiana. He was surrounded by loved ones. He was 86 years of age.
Mr. Little was born in Wesson, Mississippi on June 29, 1930. He is the son of the late Walter Hugh Little and Vona Guin Little. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Dolores Ruth Bartlett Little; his daughters, Patricia Ruth Hoien, husband Jim, of Forks, Washington, and Paulette Suzanne Freeman of Spoken, Washington; sons Paul Chapman Little, II and Larry Bartlett Little, wife Tracey, of Shreveport, Louisiana; grandchildren Laura Desruisseaux, Valeria McGowan, Michael Dickerson, Michelle Dickerson, Paul Little, III, Jessica Little, Jeremy Little, Grant Little, Kirk Little, Kaylin Little, and Garrett Little; great-grandchildren Devin Shirey, Kade Dickerson, Reid Dickerson, Anna Pisac, Abby Desruisseaux and Alexandra McGowan; his siblings Walter Little, III and Tom Little of Shreveport, and Lugenia Wagner and Larry Little of Natchez, Mississippi. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Etta Louise Little, a granddaughter, Amber Marie Little and two brothers, Keith Little and Charles "Bob" Little.
Mr. Little graduated from Culkin Academy High School, Vicksburg, Mississippi. His mother had to sign for him so he could enlist in the Army Air Core in July of 1947. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Viet Nam War. He served in the US Air Force where he was assigned to the Strategic Air Command as an Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles System Analyst, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. Upon retirement from the military in December of 1969 he was employed as a radar technician for the Federal Aviation Agency. He returned to his first calling as a cattleman upon his retirement from the FAA. He owned and operated the Quad- L Ranch in Elm Grove, Louisiana. Mr. Little ended every conversation with "God Bless."
Pallbearers will be Michael Dickerson, Paul Little, Jeremy Little, Grant Little, Kirk Little, Garrett Little and Devin Shirey.
The family would like to give a very special thanks to the wonderful women who cared for Mom and Dad. Ronda Burton, Tiffany McIntosh, Frankie Ferguson, Chelsea Burton, Alli Roberson and Becky Alveraz from the V.A.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Southside Shreveport October 3rd. 6pm -8pm. Funeral service will be held at Rose Neath Southside October 4th at 11 am. Interment at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
