Interment with Military Honors will follow in Holy Ghost Catholic Church cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Marksville.
Yes, he fought the good fight, but Paul Joseph Ford gained his heavenly healing on June 16, 2018, at the age of 86, after a lengthy illness. He was born on October 27, 1931, to the late Milton, Sr. and Georgia Guillot Ford of Marksville, LA.
Paul served in the U.S. Army in 1952, on the front line during the Korean Conflict, and was honorably discharged in 1954 at the rank of Sergeant. During that time, he married his wife of 65 years, Beatrice McGlory, and born of that union were five (5) daughters, Louise (Rudy) Smith of Rocklin, California, Elaine F. Adams of Bossier City, Louisiana, Betty (John) Augustine of Marksville, Louisiana, Jennifer Warfield of Biloxi, Mississippi, Paula (Monte) Jackson of Crestview, Florida, and one son, Paul Lynn Ford of Houston, Texas.
Paul was always known to be a hard worker and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. No incident in his life is truer than when Paul willingly opened his heart and home to five (5) brothers-in-law caring and providing for them as he did with his own children.
In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by one brother, Charles Ford of Hessmer, Louisiana, a brother-in-law, Shelton McGlory, a sister-in-law, Norma Jacob, 10 grandkids, 11 great-grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews and life-long friends.
Also, preceding Paul in death were sisters, Julia Jacob, Lillian Lonzo, Josephine Batiste and Sable Collins; brothers Eddie, Milton Sr., Shafter Sr., Lyman Sr., and a precious great-granddaughter, Ainslee Adams.
The Ford Family has requested a visitation to be held at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 8:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. A Rosary will be recited at 10:15 A.M.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Marksville.
