A funeral mass for Paul Doll, 92, will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church, 4700 Palmetto Rd., Benton, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. He will be laid to rest on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Father Matthew Long.
Paul was born on January 4, 1933, in Minneapolis, Minnesota and passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025. Paul would have celebrated his 93rd birthday this coming January.
Paul was the first in his family to graduate from college, (St. Thomas College in St. Paul, Minnesota) a milestone that reflected his determination and commitment to excellence. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 27 years as a navigator flying KC-135s, including 15 months of service during the Vietnam War. After retiring from the military, he continued his professional career as a stockbroker with AG Edwards, where his keen interest in financial investments continued to flourish.
Beyond his careers, Paul was deeply devoted to his faith and community. He was an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church for many years, beginning in 1973. He also served as President of the Palmetto Country Club in Benton, Louisiana. An avid golfer, he cherished time on the course. He shot better than his age many times. His lifelong love of hockey carried from boyhood play to steadfastly watching NHL games.
Paul was known for his honesty, generosity, fairness and keen interest in financial markets. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He and his beloved wife, Frances “Frankie” Doll, shared 66 years of marriage, a union marked by love, faith, and enduring commitment. His guidance and devotion will be cherished by his family for generations to come.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Clara Uhren. He is survived by his beloved wife, Frances (Frankie) Doll; children, Andrew Doll and wife, Bonnie, Lisa Roberts and husband, Colly, and Daniel Doll; grandchildren, Myles Roberts and wife, Katherine, Nathan Roberts and wife, Sarah Kate, Owen Roberts and wife, Bailey, Brooks Doll, and Bailey Doll; great-grandchildren, Henry Roberts, Thomas Roberts, Palmer Roberts, and Lively Roberts.
Honoring Paul as pallbearers will be Colly Roberts, Myles Roberts, Nathan Roberts, and Owen Roberts.
