Paul Clinton Smith, 57, was born November 30, 1963 in Natchitoches, Louisiana to Billy Clint Smith and Doris Jane Smith. He passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Paul attended elementary school at Castor High School. After moving to Bossier City, Louisiana he started to attend Rusheon Jr. High School and from there he attended and graduated from Bossier High School. After graduating Paul attended Northwest Louisiana Technical College in Shreveport, Louisiana where he received a degree in machine works. He was a Class A Machinist and worked at several local machine shops including Riley Beaird, Bell Machine, Valve Works, McMillan Machine and Sanders Machine Shop.
Several years ago, Paul became disabled due to hip problems, he used a hovearound to get around. No matter where he went his service dog Rudy would always tag along whether it be the grocery store or the local bar to sing karaoke. Rudy always went with his dad. Paul had two childhood friends, Mark and Frank, that he recently got reacquainted with and always spoke very highly of. Paul studied his bible daily and always watched several preachers preach on Sunday morning.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Lottie Bell Smith and Lendon L. Smith; and his brother-in-law from a previous marriage, Randy Allen McFarland. Paul is survived by his brothers, Danny Louis Smith and wife, Sharon Renee Smith, Ronald Ray Smith and wife, Lugene Inez Smith; sons, Paul Aaron Smith and Brandon Scott Smith; grandson, Wesson Cole Smith and numerous nieces, great nieces and one great nephew.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
