Patsy graduated from Byrd High School in 1957 and married her junior high school sweetheart, Lee, that same year—a love story that would span a lifetime. She had a deep passion for gardening, flowers, crocheting, quilting, and especially cooking for others, always finding joy in giving of herself. Patsy worked for many years as a teacher's aide and secretary at Summerfield Elementary, touching the lives of countless children. Later, she became the proud owner of The Flower Shop in Keithville, where she shared her love of flowers with the community for nine years. After retiring, Patsy cherished traveling with Lee and spending precious time with her beloved grandchildren. Known for her patience, unwavering faith in God, and boundless love for her family, Patsy was the kind of person who would do anything for those she loved. Her gentle spirit and selfless heart will be missed dearly.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Bison, Sr. and Ethel Lavern Hanson Bison; husband, Lee Weldon Stockman; daughter, Cindy Lynne Stockman St. Amant; brothers, Walter Bison, Jr., Kenny Bison, and Donald Bison.
Left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Jean Marie Stockman; grandchildren, Amanda Eubanks, Crystal Hall, and B.J. St. Amant; great-grandchildren, Patrick, Jake, Ellie, Carissa, Seth, Audrey, Haloh, and Rebel; sister, Linda Daspit; along with many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Patsy’s honor to Brookwood Baptist Church, 9014 Brookwood Church Way, Shreveport, LA 71106, Samaritans Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607, or Holy Angels.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Pastor John Harp, Paul and Debby Bison, Beth Baker, Diane Hardy, Noli Bradberry, Eileen Lewis, and the entire LifePath Hospice team. We would also like to thank the many friends and family for your love, prayers, and support during the final months. A heartfelt thank you to her sitters, who truly became part of our family: Brenda Robinson, Wilda Battle, and Betty Gerideau. We are so grateful for the love and care you gave to Mom — it meant the world to us.
