SHREVEPORT, LA - A Graveside Service for Patson C. Houston, 86, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2018, at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave., Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Bro. Bob Moore. Full Military Honors and Masonic Rites will be observed. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA.
Patson was born April 21, 1932 in Dawson, AL to E.L. and Bernice Nappier Houston and passed away December 7, 2018, in Shreveport, LA. He retired from the United States Air Force as Master Sergeant after 23 years of loyal service and was retired from the United States Postal Service with over 20 years of service. He was a Mason with the Caddo Lodge, a Shriner, a member of Scottish Rite, York Rite, the VFW, and was a long-time caretaker of the Masonic Section at Greenwood Cemetery in Shreveport, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Eudean Diamond Houston, brother, Loey B. Houston, sister, Ina Nell Houston, brother, Jackson Sam Houston, sister, Anna Bernice Houston, sister, Lucille Houston Anderson, sister, Lala Houston Wright and brother, Billie Joe Houston. Left to cherish his memory are daughters, Barbara Zube and husband Charles, Linda Trahan and husband Tommy; son, Michael J. Houston; grandchildren, Jennifer Zube Gregorio and husband Sam, Natalie Brassard and husband Gil, Christina Felan Gauthreaux and husband Desi, Chris Felan, Scott Mason and wife Andrea and Josiah Houston; great-grandchildren, Haley and Meredith Brassard, Zachary Moore and wife Chelsea, Hanna Moore, Ella and Adelaide Mason, Meghan and Madison Felan and Melissa, Olivia and Simon Gaspard; and sister, Vanna Montgomery Cameron.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Josiah Houston, Zachary Moore, Scott Mason, Mike Houston, Charles Zube and Bob Huling.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Linda Diane Seeman for her loving care and compassion.
