Patrick Aloysius Twohig

Patrick Aloysius "Al" Twohig, son of Edmond J. and Joan G. Twohig, died on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, in Shreveport, Louisiana, after a long illness.

Al was born on June 19, 1963 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He graduated from Captain Shreve High School in 1981. Until his illness, Al worked for Doug Semon Production Machining Inc. in Shreveport.  He was an avid Saints fan and enjoyed fishing.

Al is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ellen Twohig. He is survived by his parents, Edmond and Joan Twohig; four sisters, Geraldine Gehris and husband, Bill, of Bossier City, LA, Kathleen Smith, of Coushatta, LA, Lydia Mason of Houston, TX, and Theresa Hilburn and husband, Bobby, of Longview, TX; four brothers, Michael Twohig, Edmond Twohig, Jr. and wife, Pam, John Twohig and wife, Leslie, of Haughton, LA, and James Twohig and wife, Johnnette, of Durango, CO; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews and a large number of aunts, uncles, and cousins in Shreveport, Louisiana, Mississippi, and South Louisiana.

He will be deeply missed by those who love him.

Cremation was handled under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church,  315 Marshall Street on Saturday March 16, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. followed by an inurnment in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Shreveport, Louisiana.

 In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704 Hagerstown, Maryland 21741.
