Patrick Allen Demorest, Jr

Patrick Allen Demorest Jr. entered into eternal rest on March 15, 2020 at his home in Grand Bayou, Louisiana at the age of 42. Patrick was born on March 26, 1977 and grew up in Columbus and West Portsmouth, Ohio. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Persian Gulf War and was stationed at Ft. Hood, TX and Camp Humphreys, South Korea. He lived in Myrtle Beach, SC for many years before settling in Grand Bayou, Louisiana where he met the love of his life. One could not possibly describe Patrick in one paragraph. His personality was bigger than life itself. He was as loving as he was loud, which was really loud. Facts.. He loved his animals like his children and treated them as such. He loved his sports, especially Ohio State, and was the only person that could argue with the refs and then make friends with them after the game. "Bad call Blue!" Patrick thought St. Patrick's Day was named after him and would argue with you if you said otherwise. He could argue about anything. Also facts.. To know him was literally to love him. Selfless, kind, gentle, fighter, strong, beautiful, courageous, brave, giver, fearless, sweet soul. You could always depend on Patrick, he was that guy, that friend, the one you knew would be there. Lastly, he loved his family, friends, children and his wife passionately. His heart was simply too big for this world. God needed him more. He is preceded in death by his Father, Patrick Allen Demorest Sr. He leaves behind "his girls", wife Mathilda Demorest and his princess Samaira Kelly; his son Patrick Morgan Demorest and daughter Jordan Edwards; his mother Yvonne Demorest; his step-son Trey Jacobs; his step-son Dakota Bourdon & wife Sydney; his grandchildren Athena & Elara Bourdon; his sister Laurie Demorest Sturgell & husband Rick; his brother Corey M. Demorest; his sister & brother-in-law Dawn & Stephen Burch, Johnette & Van Griffith, Michelle Weeks, Michael & Adriene Barton; his mother & father-in-law Becky & Bob Sanders; his nieces Emilee, Aubrey, & Grace Sturgell, Ava Demorest, Jayda Morgan, Carissa Crooks, Genesis Burch, Fallyn, Karsyn, & Braelyn Weeks; his nephews Corey & Quinten Demorest, Luke Morgan, Austin Crooks, Eli Thompson, Derik, Ace & Joey Barton, Isaac Burch & Jonathon Griffith; his special friends Kris, Kari & Danny; and his fur baby Scarlett. Visitation will be Saturday March 21, 2020 at 1:00 pm and service will follow at 5:00 pm at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA. Pallbearers will be Pleasant Hill Basketball Team and honorary pallbearers are Luke Morgan, Eli Thompson, Austin Crooks, Ryan Russell, Corey Michael Demorest, Quinten Demorest, Derik Barton & Drennon Keen.   Prayer of St. Patrick I arise today Through God's strength to pilot me: God's wisdom to guide me, God's ear to hear me, God's word to speak for me, God's hand to guard me, God's shield to protect me.
