Patricia Ann Gordy

Patricia Ann Edwards Gordy, known to friends as "Pat", 71, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, Louisiana. Officiating will be Pastor Tommy Patton. Pat was born August 9, 1949 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Wayne and Annabelle Edwards. Pat married the love of her life, Donald William Gordy, in May 22,1968. They lived happily ever after until January 26, 2017 when Donald was called home. Pat was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved anything that sparkled and blinged. She also enjoyed shopping and traveling. Some of her favorite places were Nashville, Tennessee and Branson, Missouri. But if Elvis was in the house, that is where she would be. Pat is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald William Gordy; and brother, Larry Edwards. She is survived by her brother, Michael Edwards and wife, Kathy of Colorado; nephew, Eric Edwards and wife, Candice; two great-nieces, Ellie and Emma Edwards; and longtime best friend since college, Marilyn DeLeon. Honoring Pat as pallbearers will be Mitchell DeLeon, Joseph Mason, Johnny DeLeon and Jayden DeLeon. The family suggests memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 920 Pierremont Road Shreveport, Louisiana 71106.
