Funeral services for Patricia Adams will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., in Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the service. Officiating the service will be Rev. Gary Swanson.
Patricia was born September 22, 1933, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and entered into rest March 22, 2026, in Denison, Texas. She was the daughter of Norman and Annie Grove. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greenwood where she taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of the ladies’ class led by Betty Bain, all of whom she loved dearly. She was also a member of the Pioneer Club for many years as well as the Greenwood Women’s Club.
Patricia and her husband, Owen, raised four children in Greenwood, Louisiana where they served the Lord for many years at the First Baptist Church in Greenwood, Louisiana. In 2017, they moved to Denison, Texas due to Owen’s failing health. They were married for 63 years before Owen’s passing in 2017.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Annie Grove; husband, Owen Dickson Adams; siblings, Janet West, Robert (Bobby) Grove, Betty Miller, Dorothy (Dodo) Sherbourn, Richard (Dick) Grove, Helen Jacobs, Barbara (Barbie) Kreichbaum, and two other siblings that died at birth or shortly after birth, and son-in-law, Jerry Monroe.
She is survived by her children, Brad Adams and wife, Teresa of Denison, TX., Greg Adams and wife, Kimberly of Edmond, OK, Kim Schevers and husband, Danny of Greenwood, LA., Clay Adams and wife, Debbie of Luther, OK; and Janet Smith of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Heidi Naquin and husband, Aaron, Bryan Adams and wife, Tana, Lauren Joie, Nelson Adams and wife, Autumn, Austin Adams and wife, Doris, Anna Hatcher and husband, Kyle, Ethan Adams, Natalie Jones and husband, Noah, Chrissy Gates and husband, Jonathan, Jenna Harper and husband, Lance, Brooke Story and husband, Tyler; great-grandchildren, Avery Bailiff, Wyatt Naquin, Landry Naquin, Braedy Adams, Ali Adams, Logan Joie, Anniston Joie, Kelton Hatten, Rion Adams, Owen Gregory Adams, Isla Hatcher, Claire Gates, Jude Gates, Millie Jones, Hendrix Tolbert, Harrison Harper, Micha Kern, Brinley Story and Riley Story; and great-great grandchild, Hearsey Hunter Bailiff.
The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Church and Dr. Diego Restrapo of Guardian Hospice and Seven Sisters for all the love and care they gave Nana for many years. A special thank you to Ali Salcedo, her caretaker, from Seven Sisters for the love and compassion she gave our Nana for many months.
