Ouida was born March 30, 1934 to Charles H. Crain and Edna Walker Crain in Sikes, Louisiana. She was the middle of seven children. She always had a special place in her heart for Sikes. She had many wonderful memories of growing up with her siblings on an 80 acre farm.
After graduating from Sikes High School in 1952, she came to Shreveport and started working for Commercial National Bank and retired with 35 years of service as Assistant Vice President. She was an excellent seamstress, loved working in her yard and always had one of the prettiest yards in the neighborhood. Her favorite time was spent with a good book in her hands.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bill Anderson; her parents; sister, Wanda Meeks; brother, Charles Dudley Crain; and grandson, Christopher Cagle. She is survived by her son, Kenneth S. Cagle and wife, Joie; grandsons, Cameron and Clayton; and a very special granddaughter, Amy Cagle; and great-grandson, Chase Cagle; siblings, George Crain, Gaye Crain, Martha Johnston, and Delane Crain and his wife, Nancy; as well as her niece and nephews, and many special friends. Thank you to a very special daughter-in-law and friend, Mollye Brown, who showed the true definition of love.
