Odis B. Mauldin

Funeral services for Odis Benjamin Mauldin, 92, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2019 at Oakmont Church of God with Pastor Doyce Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the church. Odis was born October 6, 1926 in Harmon, LA and went to be with the Lord on March 11, 2019. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Odis was preceded in death by his parents, George and Georgia Mauldin; son, Larry Mauldin; brothers, Charles Lester Mauldin and Marvin Mauldin; and sister, Laverne Nunley. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 68 years and 9 months, Betty Louise Starnes Mauldin; son, George Dewey Mauldin and wife Linda; daughters, Ramona Self and husband Norman and Pam Beyer and husband Steve; grandchildren, Ashley Mauldin Sams, Amber Mauldin Morlock and husband Johnathan, Norm Self and wife Stephanie, Bryan Self and wife Tori, Steven Beyer and wife Charis, and Andrew Beyer and wife LaBreeska; great-grandchildren, Hannah Self, Tabitha Self, Gracie Beyer, Bo Henry Beyer, Selah Joy Beyer, Chaz Davis, Daniel Davis, Brittany Sams, Zachary Sams, Matthew Sams, Gabryelle Morlock, Lillyan Morlock, Noah Morlock, Aaron Morlock, and Elizabeth Morlock; great-great-grandson, Micah Sams; sisters, Betty Ann Norwood and husband Roy and Judy Gray and husband Bill; brother, Doyle Lynn Mauldin; and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring Odis as pallbearers will be Norm Self, Bryan Self, Steven Beyer, Andrew Beyer, Johnathan Morlock, and Daniel Mauldin. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Snead and his staff at the Schumpert Cancer Center and Dr. Eric Smith.
