Odessa O. Parker

Odessa passed from this life the morning of July 6th, peacefully after a gradual decline in health. She was supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life. She will be truly missed.

Boen on August 27, 1931, Odessa was the daughter of Joe and Earline O’Neal. She later moved to Shreveport, Louisiana where she began her life and started a family. Odessa has 11 children, of whom 7 are alive, and married the late Bernard Parker in 1965; they were married for over 40 years until his death in 2005.

Odessa had 11 children, with 4 who preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memories the following children: Odessa Hall, Gracie Lee Brown, Avis Frazier Johnson, Randy Frazier, Ernest Frazier (Renea Frazier), Anthony Frazier and Patricia Parker Steadman. Odessa was fortunate enough to live to see four generations of her own family: 11 children, 53 plus grandchildren, 100 plus great-grandchildren, 100 plus great-great-grandchildren and 40 plus great-great-grandchildren.

Odessa was preceded in death by her parents, Jow and Earline O’Neal; her husband, Bernard Parker; sisters, Margaret Hall and Louella Mills; her 4 sons, Gus Brown, Jimmy Lee Tigues, Ralph Frazier and Raymond Tigues; 2 granddaughters, Cynthia Brown and Colizza Draper and grandson, Eric Frazier, along with other family members.
