Odessa Lucille King

Minden, LA Odessa Lucille (Pennington) King was a long time resident of Minden. Odessa was born in Monroe, LA January 25, 1948 to Bennie and Iris Pennington. Odessa passed away September 21, 2019 in Minden, LA. Odessa is predeceased in death by her father, Bennie Pennington. She is survived by her mother, Iris O. Nelson of Minden, brother, Gene Pennington and wife, Margie of Gloster, LA, sister, Becky Schench of Gladwater, TX, son Dennis Morgan of Minden, daughter, Diane Thompson of Minden, and her longtime boyfriend, Bill Rembert of Haughton. Odessa had five grandkids, Ashley Norman of Minden, Sean Morgan of Shreveport, Kimberly Hortman of Brouddard, LA, Amber Shirey of Minden, Leslie North and husband Jason of Shreveport, and eight great-grandkids, Madison Beck, Jaiden Beck, Bryce Parker, Cole Pruitt, Andrew North, Eli North, Kamie North, and Branston North. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church in Minden, Louisiana.
