Funeral services for O. A. Garland will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove United Methodist Church in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Jerry Brannen officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
O.A. was born February 9, 1946 in Minden, Louisiana and entered into rest September 17, 2018 in Minden, Louisiana. He was a longtime member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; O.A. & Beatrice Garland, wife; Karren Garland, grandson; Rob Coker and great-grandsons; Robin Coker, Jr. and Ryver Garland
He is survived by his sons; Brian Garland and wife Wendy , Stephen Garland, and Chris Garland, daughter; Jacki Garland, brother; Danny Garland and wife Dorothy Lee, grandchildren; Melody Lapp & husband Jaymes, Joshua Garland, Anthony Garland, Elizabeth Coker, Amber Coker, Jacob Garland, Jasmine Garland, Sonia Pereira, Lillian Garland, Paige Garland, Gavin Garland, and Ryan Garland, and great-grandchildren; Rion Coker, Dylan Lapp, Selanna Coker, Karma Coker, Olivia Lapp, America Lapp, Zoey Lapp, Journee Garland and Ryder Garland.
