Norma Ann Bossier

Norma Ann Bossier went home to be with her beloved Lord and Savior, she passed away peacefully at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas, on August 1, 2026, surrounded by her children and family.

Ann was born on June 17, 1940 to M.J. Boutin and Lelia Broussard in Beaumont, Texas. At the age of 16 she married The Love of her Life Bernard Bossier on November 7, 1956 they were married for 66 wonderful years and 3 months. They had 4 children, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Bernard Bossier, her parents, M.J. Boutin and Lelia Broussard; brother, Clifford Boutin, and sister, Mary Hall.

She is survived by sons, Dewaine and LaRee Bossier of Buna, TX, Jerry and Sherry Bossier of Newton, TX, Terry and Jo Bossier of Bridge City, TX, and daughter, Debra and Terry DeWitt of Orangefield, TX.

She was raised in Bessmay, where she attended school and later moved to Port Neches and continued her education. She was working at The White Cottage Café where she met The Love of her Life. After her and Bernard married, they came back to Converse, LA. She was a lifelong member of Union Springs Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, helped with VBS every summer, served in the kitchen and on the bereavement committee. She looked forward every summer to her grandchildren coming to spend the week with her and going to VBS.

One of her greatest joys in life was being in her kitchen, cooking for her family and friends. It didn’t matter what time it was; she would have breakfast ready by the time everybody was up. She was most famous for her homemade buttermilk biscuits that were perfectly formed in her own special way, by her loving hands.

She was the best at occupation of being a wife, mother, Maw Maw, and friend, but most of all, serving the Lord.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., her “Celebration of Life” will be Friday, August 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. All services will be held at Union Springs Baptist Church in Converse, LA.
