Nick Mockosher, 91, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home in Bossier City, Louisiana. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Nick was born on October 25, 1930 in Colfax, Louisiana to Alex and Orena Mockosher. He was a highly respected man that helped so many people in their journey through life. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was in the Army and served in the Korean War. He loved to fish, play his guitar, garden, and watch cowboy and crime shows on television. He owned his own Exxon station and worked as a mechanic his entire life. He was a very hardworking man.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty "Jean Jean" Mockosher. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kay Mockosher, Bruce Mockosher, and Christine Mockosher; three grandchildren, Jason Brady, Zachary Wyatt Griffin, and Ellie Berkland-Mockosher, and eight great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Nathan, Gavin, Rozzalyn, Ernest, Zoe, Noah, and Sidney; and sister, Mary Stiles.
The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of the Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home for all the wonderful care and compassion given to Nick during his time there.
