Nick was born on November 10, 1998, to Glenn and Cassandra Futch in Shreveport, Louisiana, and passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Nick was a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada. Known affectionately as Nick, Nick‑Nick, Nicky, and even Nickelodeon, he carried a personality big enough to fit every nickname. A naturally skilled mechanic, Nick had a gift for fixing anything put in front of him. He was also a devoted sports fan who could talk about any game, any team, any time. He always had a story to tell, and there was never an awkward moment in his presence; he had a way of making people feel comfortable, welcomed, and entertained all at once.
Nick loved his family and friends with a fierce and loyal heart. He believed deeply that blood is thicker than water, and he lived that belief every day. He adored his nephew and niece as if they were his own, proudly stepping into a role that came naturally to him. No matter how busy life was, he never let anyone leave without a hug and an “I love you.” His love was big, his presence unforgettable, and his loyalty unwavering. Nick’s life was full of connection, laughter, and devotion to the people he held closest, and his absence leaves a space that can never be filled.
Nick was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Edward Futch, and his grandmother, Rita Rebecca Gamble Toupin. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Cassandra Ann Toupin Futch; grandfather, Gary Edward Toupin; brother, Gary Wayne Futch and wife, Victoria; sister, Gabrielle Nicole Futch; nephew, Fenton Futch; niece, Rita Futch; uncle, Henry Toupin; and aunt, Mary Lynn Toupin Spake and husband, Michael. His cousins include Rebecca Bennett and husband, Hayden, along with their children, Harrison Bennett, Amelia Bennett, and James Bennett; Tyler Spake; Russel Graves; and Hailee Stevens and husband, Brandon, with their children, Oliver Stevens and Everett Stevens.
Honoring Nick as pallbearers will be Brandon Stevens, Russel Graves, Tyler Spake, Timothy Terrill, Noah Skains, and Michael Spake. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Fenton Maxwell.
The family wants to express their deepest gratitude to Fenton and Terry Maxwell.
