Nestor Jovan Marrero

Nestor Jovan Marrero, 21, of Bossier City, Louisiana, entered into eternal rest on April 23, 2023, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Nestor was born on August 30, 2001, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Rafael Enrique Rivera and Alma Rosa Marrero-Rivera.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Bossier Chapel-2201 Airline Dr Suite 100, Bossier City, LA 71111. Memorial services honoring the life of Nestor will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023, at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Evan Semanco.

Nestor enjoyed attending NASCAR races and had a “need for speed”. His favorite racer was #9 Chase Elliott. He had a passion for cars and a collection of toy model cars that he loved to show off.

Nestor was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nellie; his grandfather, Rafael; his uncle, Lucas; and his cousins, Ibrahim and Jasmine. He is survived by his parents, Rafael and Alma Rivera; grandmother, Tata; his brother, Joey Rivera; his aunts, Tita, Bruny, Sandra, and Tamara; his uncle, Papa Joel; his cousins, Amanda, Yareli, Bruny, Jessica, Jovanni, Elyse, Ashley, Alissa, Geo, Yusaias, Alex, Taz, Kyla, Oscar, Lalo, along with a host of additional cousins; his best friend, Luis; and countless family and friends.
