Neatrice Maria Bacque Buehler

Neatrice Bacque Buehler peacefully departed this world on Friday, September 25, 2026, leaving a legacy of love and kindness. Born to Dorothy D. and August P. Bacque on January 20, 1938, she grew up on a dairy farm on Ellerbe Road and often shared fond memories of her childhood with her family.

Throughout her adult life, Neatrice devoted herself to helping and serving others. She worked with elementary school children, served as secretary of a large Shreveport church, operated switchboards at multiple hospitals, and supported the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission.

A well-known cook and baker, she joyfully gave stews and cakes to anyone in need. Years ago, she also created a skin cream to help an older friend in a nursing home; today, that cream is produced and sold in multiple countries. 

Neatrice was preceded in death by her son, Keith Buehler; her parents, Dorothy and August Bacque; and her siblings, Percy Bacque Jr., Sue Bacque Parker, and Nancy Bacque Page. 

Her greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her three children: John A. Buehler (Kim) of Lewisville, AR; Suzanne Buehler of Shreveport, LA; and Steven Buehler of Puerto Vallarta, MX. They carry forward her spirit of resilience and generosity.

She is also survived by her sister, Clara Maurice of Shreveport; her brother, David Bacque of Keithville; four cherished grandsons who brought her immense joy, David Stoneking (Hope) of Midland, TX, Gus Buehler, Jake Buehler and Kolt Buehler, all of Lewisville, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.

Neatrice’s family will honor her with a private graveside ceremony led by Bro. John Buehler. Her pallbearers will be her grandsons, Gus Buehler, Kolt Buehler, and Jake Buehler, and her nephews, William Maurice, Darrell Page and Greg Bacque.
