A graveside service honoring the life of Nancy Ann Studstill will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at Forest Park Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Paul Ford. Nancy was born October 15, 1934 in Kansas City, Kansas to parents John and Mildred Richardson. She passed away peacefully Thursday, January 16, 2020 in Bernice, Louisiana. She was a stay at home mother during her children's younger years, often substitute teaching. After the family moved to Shreveport, she started a career at the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce where she worked for over 20 years. Her passions included traveling to see her children and grandchildren, antiquing, camping, playing bridge on a weekly basis, and volunteering at the local nursing home. She continued an active life while living at the nursing home by playing weekly bean bag baseball, bingo, dominoes and other competitive events. She served multiple terms as President of the Residents' Council at both nursing homes. Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wray Studstill; mother Mary Mildred Fryatt, and father John William Richardson. She is survived by her brother, Jim Waters; sister, Martha Krouse; daughter, Lynanne Mae Hill and her husband, Rick; son, Perry Studstill and his wife Vicki; grandchildren, Josh Hill, Brady Hill and Benjamin Studstill and great- grandson, Abram Hill. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons and bridge partners. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station P.O. Box 4777, New York, NY 10163, to help further research on Parkinson's.
