Nancy B. Leake of Evergreen, LA entered this world March 24, 1932. She was the youngest child of Arthur and Carrie Mangrum Barnette and was reunited with our heavenly Father and loved ones on Friday, April 28, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Thomas Leake; daughters, Brenda Everage (James), Judy Parker (Rob), and Debbie Shirey; grandchildren, Josh Parker (Chelsy), Lance Milligan (Jen), and Rachel Hunter; seven great grandchildren, Allison Ledet, J.P. Parker, Bryce Parker, Mae Parker, Liam Milligan, Easton Milligan, and Justin Hunter; and two great great grandchildren, Alyssa Ledet and Joseph Ledet.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Alice Evans, grandson Keith Everage, great granddaughter Amanda Parker, brother James Miller, and sisters Frances Smith, Catherine Lacy, and Nell Fuller.
Nancy was a member of First Baptist Church, Minden, LA. She loved traveling, cooking, and many years as an avid reader. Most of all she loved her husband, church, children, and grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rob Parker, James Everage, Josh Parker, Lance Milligan, J.P. Parker, and Bryce Parker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Liam Milligan and Easton Milligan.
A celebration of life service will be held Monday, May 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana with Bro. Leland Crawford and Bro. Steve Gilley officiating. Interment will follow at Old Athens Cemetery in Athens, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends Monday at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at First Baptist Church.

The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the staff of Passages Hospice. They were so attentive and helpful to us.
