Myrtis McCann, 57, of Deville, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at her residence.
Myrtis was born on August 28,1969, to Ray Gagnard and Shirley Muse Gagnard. A devoted homemaker, she found her greatest joy in the love she shared with her family. Her children and grandchildren held a very special place in her heart, and the time she spent with them was amongst her most treasured blessings.
Myrtis had a love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed being around the water. Whether it was a boat ride, spending time near the water, or simply enjoying the beauty of the outdoors, these were some of the moments that brought her happiness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Gagnard and Shirley Muse Gagnard.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Scott and Kevin Gaspard of Deville; her daughter, Sarah Gaspard of Marksville; her sister, Sheila Sayer of Marksville; her brothers, Dickie Gagnard of Deville and David Kent Gagnard of Marksville; and her six beloved grandchildren.
Funeral services honoring the life of Myrtis McCann will be held in the chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home at 334 Acton Road in Marksville on Friday September 18, 2026. Reverand John Riddle and Reverand Josh Breville officiating.
A visitation will be held in the chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home from 9:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm.
