Myra Avelene Walker

Celebration of life and going home service for Myra Avelene Haire Walker, 82, will be held Monday, August 22, 2022, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home Coushatta chapel at 10:00 AM with Reverend Thumper Miller officiating.  Interment will follow in Ajax Cemetery in Ajax, LA.  Visitation will be held Sunday, August 21, 2022, at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. 

Myra was born April 1, 1940, in Zwolle, LA, to Virgil Dewitt and Sylvia Naomi Ponder Early and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 20, 2022, in Coushatta, LA. 

Preceding her in death were her parents, Virgil Dewitt and Sylvia Naomi Early; husband, U. Don Haire; son, Danny Wayne Haire; daughters, Kathy Pyle and Brenda Dowden; and brother, Kenneth (Butch) Early.

Left to cherish her memory are son, Michael Haire and wife, DeDe; son-in-law, Rodnie Dowden; daughter-in-law, Angie Haire; sister, Ramona Rambin and husband, Danny; brother, Lathan Early and wife, Linda; fourteen grandchildren; fifty-six great grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren with one on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Bogues, Don Dowden, Travis Dowden, Brian Cromeans, Mitchel Blanchard and Jayden Higgins. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny K. Haire, Andrew Higgins, Joshua Haire, Johnny Haire, and Michael Haire, Jr.
