SHREVEPORT, LA- A funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Murwyn Leon Stover will be held at Rose Neath Southside Chapel on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 2 pm. A visitation will be held prior to the service, starting at noon. The interment will take place Sunday February 12, 2017 at 2 pm Forest Corner Cemetery near Oak Grove, Louisiana. Officiating will be Edward Cooper.
Mr. Stover was born August 19, 1937 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 9, 2017. He was a known outdoorsman, his favorite hobbies being hunting and fishing. But wherever he might have been, whether that was a stand or a boat, his one true passion was never far from his heart. As a Godly man, he was always faithful to the Lord. And it was this love that enabled him to adore his family to the fullest extent.
Preceding Mr. Stover in death are his wife, Martha Shoemaker Stover; brother, Bill Stover; and parents, Viola and Harvey Stover. Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Freddie and wife, Kelly Stover; daughter, Sandra and spouse, Stan Wade; sister, Sonja and spouse, Don Bracey; brothers: Jackie and wife, Pat Stover, Wayne Stover, Ronnie and wife, Sylvia Stover; a host of grandkids, great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids. Honoring Mr. Stover as pallbearers will be Michael Free, Joe Wade, Matthew Wade, Jeffrey Wade, Randy Stover and Ashley Johnston.
