SHREVEPORT, LA - Graveside services for Murray Meshell, 78, will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Forest Park West Cemetery. Officiating will be Father Jody Howard. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive. Murray was born on June 29, 1936 in Zwolle, LA and passed away on October 20, 2014. He was a resident of Shreveport, LA and served our country in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Angeline Meshell;sisters, Margie Hyatt; Merle Garrison; brother, Donald Meshell; son, Timmie Meshell; and step grandson, David Swann. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Avis Nita Meshell; sons, Larry and wife Janey and Darien Swann; daughters, Terri Meshell, Sonja Norman and husband Ron, Angela Lundy and husband, Rick; siblings, Mildred Fry, J.P. Meshell, James Meshell and wife Johnnie, Marvin Meshell, and Bobbie Ann Meshell; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Honoring Murray as pallbearers will be Darien Swann, Ron Norman, Rick Lundy, Wesley Martinez, Steve Fry, and Johnny Ray Mouser. The family would like to express a special thanks to the nurses and CNA's with The Bradford and also 200 hall nurses and Dr. Patel with Willis Knighton South Hospital.Rose-Neath Southside 2500 Southside Drive318-687-1256
