Mun Cha Song Adkerson, age 81, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on September 19, 2024. She was born on March 25, 1943, in South Korea to Tae Ho Song and Yi Sun Hee.

Funeral services honoring the life of Mun Cha will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Spur in Bossier. Officiating the service will be Pastor Yong K. Lee of Bansuk Korean Baptist Church.

Mun Cha was best described as a kind lady with a listening ear. She was a fantastic cook, and her family’s favorite dish was her cornbread. Her hobbies included gardening, crocheting, playing cards, and reading her bible. She will be missed and cherished by many loved ones.

Mun Cha was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Boyce Adkerson; son, Thomas Song Adkerson; and daughter, Catherine Julia Tuss. She is survived by her son, Gerald Song Adkerson and wife Germaine Adkerson; siblings, Chong Cha Seefa, Eun Suk Song, Chong Hyok Song and wife Sook K. Song, and Chong Wan Song and wife Hye Suk Song; along with her loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other relatives.
