Minnie "Jewel" Whitworth

Minnie "Jewel" Whitworth, 95, passed away Monday, September 16, 2019. She was born September 9, 1924 in Ringgold, Louisiana, a daughter of the late Madison and Dera Woodall Hatchett and the widow of the late Wilson Whitworth. Jewel was a homemaker and moved to Perryville, Kentucky from Shreveport, Louisiana. She enjoyed taking care of her home, her younger siblings, and attending church. Survivors include her daughter, Martha Whitworth Taylor and her husband Thomas; her son, Thomas David Whitworth; four grandchildren, Andrew (Rachel) Taylor, Jennell (Mathew) Devers, Stephen (Crystal) Taylor, William (Amanda) Taylor; and three great-grandchildren, Cody and Max Devers and Eric Taylor. In addition to her parents and husband, Jewel was preceded in death by four siblings. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2019 at Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport, LA.
